Friends
of Hagley Hall are now selling new firing shovels to anyone who would like one
whether you’re footplate grade or just after something to hang on your wall.
The
Friends of Hagley Hall shovel is made with slightly thicker metal than the other
leading manufactures was but is to a similar pattern, the Friends of Hagley Hall
committee have tested the shovel on several occasions with very favorable
results, the shovel is well balanced and is a nice weight to swing coal where
you want it without pulling your arms out of their sockets.
The
shovels are available with two handle sizes, a long handle for Manors, Black
5’s or any other large tender engine or the short handle for panniers,
prairies and smaller less roomy cabs.
The cost of the shovel will be £39.50 (+ £7 p&p). Order now to become the proud owner of this essential item of footplate equipment.
